We believe that discovering the joy and beauty of our natural world should not come at a cost to our planet. It’s why we spend more to invest in farms that are committed to protecting the integrity of their land and communities (and we’ll get into that a little later).

And since it’s the not-so-small moments of our everyday lives that are the true markers of how we live and who we are, our weekly and monthly flower subscription plans that are designed to help you discover new varieties of flowers with every box shipped to your door.
With a team that spans 2 continents, 5 countries, and more than 15 cities, we get the importance of finding ways to connect with your loved ones, whether they’re 10 minutes or 10,000 miles away. Our flowers are sustainably grown
By sourcing primarily from Rainforest Alliance certified farms, we ensure that your flowers are grown in ways that minimize harm to the planet. We may be the first and only direct-to-consumer floral company to make such a deep investment in sustainable farms, but we hope we’re not the last.

If you ask us, farms can and should provide benefits that make the lives of their workers – and the lives of their families – better. The farms that grow our flowers take care of the people who live in their communities. They inspire us every day.
Less water pollution
BloomsyBox farms strictly control their use of water contaminators like pesticides, fertilizers, sediment, wastewaters, garbage, and fuels.
Reduced threats to human health
Rainforest Alliance farms put their workers’ health first by prohibiting dangerous pesticides and strictly regulating their use of agrochemicals.
Less soil erosion
Flowers are innovatively grown in ways that do not deplete or erode the soil in which they are planted.
Benefits for work and especially life
Workers and their families have access to schools, health care, transportation to and from work, and training opportunities for growth.
Less waste
Unused foliage is returned to the fields to act as natural fertilizer. Other wastes are recycled where possible.
Fair working conditions
Fair wages, decent housing, clean drinking water, sanitary facilities, and a safe working environment. In other words, rights, not privileges.
A note from our founder
When I was growing up, I spent my summers with my grandfather, mi abuelo, at his coffee farms in our native Colombia. My grandfather dedicated himself to his business, spending as much time with his coffee beans as he did with the workers on his farms. Even at 10, I knew I wanted the same for myself one day.
Years later, I immigrated to the U.S. with no money and even less English. What I did know? Flowers. Colombia is the second largest exporter of flowers in the world, and I grew up surrounded by them. That’s why I founded BloomsyBox – to help others discover the joy and beauty of flowers the same way I did.
Through the years, our company has grown and our incredible team has expanded. But our core mission has always stayed the same: Bring you new varieties of flowers every month, while supporting farms that make responsible choices towards their people and the planet. With us, you can trust that our flowers are free of the toxic chemicals that harm the earth, and you can trust that the people who grow and harvest those flowers are treated with respect.
